We collect and use information for business purposes with respect to our medical equipment business and you. All non-public, personal information collected and maintained by us is used for specific business purposes enabling us to contact your doctor, check your insurance benefits, follow up on insurance claims, ensure proper billing and follow up on your care.

- Information from yourself, the patient.
- Information from your insurance company whether it is workers compensation, auto, private insurance or a third party administrator.

How we retain your records
Priority Medical will retain a record of all client services for 7 years. In the case of Pediatric patients we will retain them for 7 years after they have reached legal age. In New Jersey the legal age is 18. Patients are made aware of this in our Privacy Notice. All records are maintained in a secure manner with safeguards in place to prevent loss or destruction. All records are stored at 748 Morris Tpk. Short Hills, NJ In areas with locked doors and restricted entry to prohibit intrusion by unauthorized personnel and promote security. Destruction of records is done yearly and performed by a third party dedicated to this task. All staff having access to medical records are trained in privacy and confidentiality practices and access to records will be limited to members who have received this training and who are required to access these records due to employment responsibilities. Priority Medical receives grievances and/or complaints from clients and customers in a standardized process. The organization maintains a log of these issues. Within five calendar days of receiving a beneficiary’s complaint, the supplier shall notify the beneficiary, using either oral, telephone, email, fax, or letter format, that it has received the complaint it is investigating. Within 14 calendar days, the supplier shall provide written notification to the beneficiary of the results of its investigation and response. New Jersey state grievance number is 1-800-367-6543.
